The main chemical groups of SR-OC high purity nano-montmorillonite are silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. The monolayer is composed of two layers of silica tetrahedrons and one layer of aluminum oxide octahedron. The monolayer is stacked to form montmorillonite particles. The single layer thickness is only 0.96nm, which belongs to one-dimensional nano inorganic silicate materials. Montmorillonite lamella is electronegative and there are exchangeable ions between lamella and lamella, and the exchange of different types of ions between lamella can be modified to change the polarity of montmorillonite lamella.
